Points-based license for construction sites: in effect from October 1st, implementing decree published
The Ministry of Labour has published in the Official Gazette the implementing decree that introduces the mandatory points-based license for operating on construction sites, starting from October 1st. The companies involved will be able to initiate the procedures to obtain the credit-based license, continuing their activities and receiving assistance throughout the entire issuance and initial application process.
Companies and self-employed workers operating on temporary or mobile construction sites must obtain a “points-based license” in digital format, issued by the National Labor Inspectorate. The system operates similarly to a driving license: it starts with an initial score—30 points in the case of construction sites (which can go up to 100)—that are deducted following inspections and related final decisions. Workers are allowed to operate on construction sites as long as they maintain a score equal to or greater than 15 points.
