Guidelines on identification, protection and assistance of victims of labour exploitation
On 7 October 2021, the Unified Conference ratified the agreement for the adoption of the new National Guidelines on identification, protection, assistance of victims of exploitation in agriculture, drawn up as part of the three-year plan to combat labour exploitation.
The guidelines are an important policy document drawn up by a group coordinated by the Directorate-General for Immigration and Social Integration of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.
The recipients of the new system outlined by the guidelines are all those who, in various ways and according to their respective competences, are involved in actions of protection and assistance to victims of exploitation in agriculture or potential such.
The IOM, on the basis of the guidelines, has produced an explanatory summary in order to enhance the governance work carried out and contribute to the application of the Guidelines. As part of its collaboration with the National Labour Inspectorate, the IOM collaborates in the identification of victims of labour exploitation, in conjunction with the territorial systems of protection.
